Whisper

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world..." (Romans 12:2)

Goodness! For me, that line from Paul's letter to the early Jesus followers in Rome rings just as relevant today. Instead, live as LOVE invites you to live. Give undue grace. Share unearned forgiveness. Offer ludicrous amounts of active care for the people around you.

For me, all the ancient faith leaders are trying in their own way to ask us something like this... "I know everyone else is acting a certain way, but can't you hear God's whisper inviting you to live with your heart wide open and with love bursting out of you?"

Anyway... I was just thinking about all you wonderful people who are signed up for these "BETWEEN SACRED TEXTS."

You're the kind of folks who hear that whisper.

You're the kind of folks who are trying really hard not to conform to the pattern of the world...
