Enemies

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..." (Matthew 5:43-44)

No wonder some people thought Jesus was crazy. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES?! Don't hate them? Don't fight them? Don't get revenge? Don't tear them down or make them feel small? Don't post nasty things about them on the internet? LOVE THEM?! PRAY FOR THEM?!

The tension between loving and hating our enemies is still at the heart of so much turmoil in our world today.

Dr. King once said, “Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.”

💖Choosing love over hate is transformational.

💖Heaven on earth is wrapped inside that choice, waiting for us to bring it out into the world.
