Untruths

I’ve been thinking a lot about the false stories people have been told about themselves… almost always rooted in other people’s insecurities and fears.

How much harm has been done because of these untruths? How much pain has been inflicted because of these made-up stories that people (maybe you) have absorbed about themselves?

❌You are not the harsh words of a parent.
❌You are not the label someone slapped on you to control or categorize you.
❌You are not the version of yourself crafted in someone else's mirror of insecurity.

There is something deeper. Something truer. Something holy.

God's voice whispers something different. Something more whole. More real. More YOU.

You are not broken. You are beloved.

Let the old stories fall away. Let the truer story begin.

What is an old story or label you’re choosing to shed or discard?

Who makes you feel “beloved”?

How can I pray for you today?

Psalm 139:13–14“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
